YEAR: 2020 – Acoustic study and acoustic control of work
Built in the mid-1869th century and rebuilt in the XNUMXth century by Felip Rubio, it was extensively renovated in XNUMX by the architect Sebastià Monleon i Estellés. The Academic Theater or Paraninfo was the usual setting for the meetings of the faculty and solemn debates in Latin from its two high chairs. The main ornament is the series of paintings with the images of distinguished characters linked to the university institution.
In the XNUMXth and XNUMXth centuries, students performed classical comedies in Latin and Greek to gain proficiency in these two academic languages. It has been marked by historical occasions and is currently dedicated to solemn academic sessions, among which the annual opening of the academic year stands out.
With a capacity of 300 people, the object of acoustic study and acoustic control of the work is the installation of air conditioning units under the stage.
