PILAR DE LA HORADADA AUDITORIUM (ALICANTE)

AÑO: 2004

The Auditorium-Cultural Center project is mainly composed of two volumes. One of them consists of a block of three heights developed in plan on a circumferential arc that is accessed through its middle part and distributes in the left wing the classrooms and rooms corresponding to the conservatory and in the right wing develops the cultural center. Inside the circumference arc is the other parallelepiped-shaped volume that contains the Auditorium with a capacity of 588 spectators. On the latter, the volume of the stage box stands out at one end and at the other, where both volumes meet, there is a tower of spaces destined mainly for warehouses.

In view of the uses planned for this space, it can be considered as a multipurpose room and therefore must meet compromise conditions to achieve an acceptable listening quality for both music and speech.
