AUDITORIUM OF THE “SANTA CECILIA” MUSIC SOCIETY OF REQUENA

AÑO: 2000

It is a space with a symmetrical plan of approximately 360 m2, where the line of symmetry forms the sets of seats that define the listening area on both sides.

The stage is elevated 110 cm. above the level of the room. This does not respond to the symmetry that governs the room, losing part of one side as there is a built-in wardrobe. The background of the stage is made up of two accesses to the back and a background wall that is a curved surface.

The listening area is made up of two parts, the stalls and the amphitheatre. The stalls are flat, divided longitudinally by the axis of symmetry by a corridor, which separates the two seating areas. The amphitheater is convex in front and leaves a free height on the surface of the stalls of 280 cm.

The ceiling is homogeneous and horizontal throughout the entire room, made up of profiles and pressed cardboard plates. The walls of the room, in plan, present a composition in saw teeth (four on each side), in which we find large windows that communicate, on one side with the street, and on the other, with an interior patio of the building. .
